Linzey Gallion
While the birth of a child always feels special, Linzey Gallion believes Adena Health’s midwife program took it to another level.
Choosing where to give birth is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. Families choose Adena Health because they know they’ll be cared for with compassion, expertise, and respect.
We believe in surrounding you with support — medical, emotional, and personal — so that your focus can stay on what matters most: welcoming your baby into the world.
At Adena Health, we combine trusted expertise with leading-edge technology to ensure the safest possible experience for mothers and babies. Our maternity program is built around evidence-based practices and a commitment to clinical excellence from pregnancy through postpartum care.
Family is at the heart of everything we do. Our team of board-certified obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, and AIUM-certified ultrasound sonographer technicians are here to give you the best care possible. With years of experience, a compassionate approach, and the latest technologies, we’re ready to deliver an outstanding birthing experience with 24/7 care.
What sets us apart is our patient-centered approach. Our team is made up of caregivers who strive to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Our providers genuinely care about the health of you and your baby, and we take tremendous pride in delivering at a facility with a Level II Special Care Nursery, delivering at 32 weeks and up. Adena’s Level II Special Care Nursery is a hospital unit that provides advanced care for moderately ill newborns and premature babies. Our Level II Nursery is equipped to handle conditions like respiratory issues, jaundice, feeding difficulties, and infections and can stabilize premature infants who need to be transferred to a higher-level unit.
Throughout your pregnancy, you’ll build relationships with our dedicated women’s health providers. Because deliveries can happen at any time, the provider who delivers your baby may be different from the one you see for your prenatal visits. Our team-based approach ensures that every provider is familiar with your care plan and committed to supporting you and your baby every step of the way.
Whether you are just starting to plan your pregnancy or looking for postpartum care, call us today at 740-779-7201 to schedule your appointment with a maternity care specialist near you.
Adena partners with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Maternal-Fetal Medicine Department for high-risk pregnancies requiring specialty care. We also collaborate with Nationwide Children’s Hospital to enhance our labor and delivery nurseries for around-the-clock care. Physicians from these institutions serve as hospitalists in Adena facilities, meaning you and your baby will have access to nationally recognized, world-class care close to home.
Lifeline of Ohio Placental DonationAdena partners with Lifeline of Ohio’s Placenta Donation program. Normally, the placenta, umbilical cord, and amniotic membrane are discarded following a birth, their purpose providing essential needs for a developing fetus having been fulfilled. The placental material provided by donors, rather than being thrown away, can be used to help others in the healing of acute and chronic wounds and other maladies such as burns, skin cancer, scar revisions, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and other conditions. Each placenta can produce an average of 25 grafts, which play a natural biologic role in enhancing natural wound healing.
Breast Milk DonationAdena Regional Medical Center is proud to be a milk drop location, providing a convenient way for approved donors in and around Chillicothe to donate breast milk. Your generous contributions are stored in our freezer, ready to be transferred to the milk bank in Columbus. The donated milk is pasteurized, frozen and distributed by physician prescription. Just one ounce can nourish a premature baby for three whole days! Every little bit makes a huge difference.
All of our ultrasound programs are AIUM certified, a rigorous testing path that means we have met or exceeded national standards in both performing and interpreting diagnostic ultrasounds. There are only a handful of AIUM certified ultrasound technicians in all of Ohio, and we have them right here at Adena.
Adena Health has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care (ACPC) by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards.
