Recognitions received by the health system highlight Adena’s commitment to community service and partnerships, quality care, and patient experience.
Critical access hospitals
Adena Fayette Medical Center, Adena Greenfield Medical Center, and Adena Pike Medical Center all earned 2025 Performance Leadership Awards from The Chartis Center for Rural Health. AGMC and APMC were recognized for excellence in quality, placing them among only seven rural hospitals in Ohio to earn that distinction, while AFMC was honored for its excellence in outcomes, one of just 19 hospitals statewide to achieve that level of recognition. These awards place Adena’s critical access hospitals in the top 25% of rural hospitals nationwide.
Baby-Centered Recovery Program
In protecting the region’s youngest patients, Adena’s Baby-Centered Recovery Program has received national, state and local recognition in the fight against addiction. National Hospital Charitable Services named it a Program of Excellence while the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service Medication Management and Opioid Support Team named Adena a Best Practice Site for the program, one of only three such designations in Ohio. The program also earned U.S. House of Representatives recognition as a model for other communities to replicate.
