Information We May Collect

Information You Provide Us

When you interact with the Site, you may submit or otherwise provide certain information that may identify you as an individual. For example, when you complete a contact form, we (or our vendors on our behalf) may collect certain information, such as your name, telephone number, or email address. If you apply for a position through our Careers page, we may collect employment-related information such as your educational background, work experience, and information about certifications and licensure. You may voluntarily choose to provide us with your racial or ethnic identity, gender identity, and veteran status when you apply for a position with us.

Online Tracking Technology

In addition to information you voluntarily choose to submit to us through the Site, we and our vendors (including content and analytics providers) may use a variety of tracking technologies (such as cookies) that automatically or passively collect information when you visit certain pages on our Site. This type of usage information may include the browser you are using, your IP address or other unique identifier, search terms, the URL that referred you to our Site, pages that you visit, and the time of the visit.

Cookies are small text files that are sent to and stored by your browser when you visit or interact with our Site. These cookies are then sent back unchanged to the party that served the cookie each time you visit or interact with our Site (which includes our ads on third-party sites) for the party that served the cookie to recognize your browser or device. Cookies are either first-party cookies or third-party cookies. “First-party cookies” are sent to your browser by the party that operates the site you are visiting (e.g., cookies served by Adena when you visit our website). “Third-party cookies” are sent to your browser by any party other than the party that operates the site you are visiting.

Data Analytics and Advertising

We use Piwik Pro Analytics to collect and process statistical data about the number of people using the Site and to better understand how they find and use the Site. The data collected includes data related to your device or browser, your IP address, and data about your on-site activities to measure and report statistics about user interactions. The information stored is reduced to a random identifier. Any data collected is used in accordance with this Privacy Policy and Piwik Pro’s privacy policy, which you can view here.

We may partner with third-party ad technology companies and advertisers. These partners may use, store, or access cookies, web beacons, and other online technologies to provide advertising services to us, including advertisements targeted to your interests. To find out more about digital advertising companies’ privacy practices and how you may opt out of information collection, please visit youradchoices.com.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Controls

Your web browser may have settings that allow you to transmit a “Do Not Track” signal when you visit various websites or use online services. This Site is not designed to respond to “Do Not Track” signals received from browsers.

Some browsers and browser extensions support the use of the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) that can send a signal to process your request to opt out from certain types of data processing, including data “sales” as defined under certain laws. When we detect such a signal, we will make reasonable efforts to respect your choices indicated by a GPC setting as required by applicable law.

How We Use Your Information

We do not collect or disclose information that identifies or that can be used to identify you personally. (In some jurisdictions, this disclosure may be considered a “sale” or a “share.” We do not sell or share your personal information.) We do collect aggregate data so that we may assess the effectiveness of particular sections, pages, and features of our website. Included among these types of aggregate usage information are the number of visits to specific pages and the length of those visits, as well as visitor locations inferred from your IP address and browser information. We may use data obtained from cookies to tailor your experience on our Site.

To request additional information using the Adena Health website’s Contact Us email form, you must provide your name and email address. Your name and email address will not be shared with any third parties. However, we do track the number of requests we have received for particular kinds of information via the Contact Us feature, so we can determine what additional information we may want to include on our website in the future.

The Adena Health website also allows you to submit an online resume in response to job openings at specific Adena Health organizations that are posted on this website. By using this feature to submit your resume, you are consenting to the reproduction, distribution, sharing, and transmittal of your resume to the extent necessary to facilitate the normal hiring practices of the Adena Health organization to which you have applied. We may share this information with any search firms we retain to help us fill positions.

The Adena Health website includes links that allow you to pay online for services received at specific facilities within our regions. Payment information submitted via these online bill payment features does not come directly to the Adena Health website. If you use our online bill payment features, please read their privacy/security statements carefully.

The Adena Health website provides physician profiles and in some cases the ability to book appointments directly online through a third-party provider who has their own terms of service and privacy policy. Please read their terms and policy carefully.
