Your Primary Care Physician
Your primary care physician, or family doctor, is the most important health relationship you and your family can have. This will be the person you will see for preventive care and wellness visits, the person you can turn to in health crises, and the person who will answer your questions and guide you through the ups and down of any health journey.
A primary care physician is specifically trained to provide education, diagnosis and treatment for your basic health needs, such as annual physicals, immunizations, health screenings and disease prevention. Primary care physicians are trained to look at you holistically and figure out what’s at the root of your health problems. If you are having a health problem, they will order tests and consultations, if needed, with specialists.
Primary care physicians include family practitioners, internal medicine physicians, pediatricians, familiy medicine residents and obstetrician/gynecologists.
Improving your overall health and well-being is the top priority of Adena’s primary care physicians. In a day and age when personal connections with healthcare providers continue to become more challenging, Adena primary care physicians are taking steps to increase your access to them and in turn for you to receive the most personal care possible.
