Specialty programs and treatments
We offer BioTe hormone replacement therapy which helps stave off symptoms stemming from hormone imbalances. This method can help keep your levels consistent throughout the day by using hormones created just for you.
For pregnant individuals experiencing substance use disorder, our Adena Family Center for Recovery offers an outstanding, state-recognized, patient-centered program that provides prenatal and postpartum support and treatment for healthy pregnancies.
Notable partnerships
We are proud to receive the Lifeline of Ohio Placental Donation Honor for connecting women who wish to donate their placentas through Lifeline of Ohio. Adena has referred more than 300 expectant women to the program, which uses the typically discarded tissue to help in the healing of acute and chronic wounds, burns, skin cancer, scar revisions, ulcers, and more.
Additionally, we partner with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital in an ongoing effort to make high-quality health care available to all of our patients. Through these partnerships, trained specialists from both institutions are available to deliver expert care right within Adena facilities. This means you can receive the advanced treatment you need, conveniently close to home.
Our partnership with OSU Maternal Fetal Medicine offers you high-risk obstetric care right here in our communities. And with the only Level II Special Care Nursery in the region, we can provide advanced care for moderately ill newborns and premature babies at 32 weeks and up. Our Level II Nursery is equipped to handle conditions like respiratory issues, jaundice, feeding difficulties, and infections and can stabilize premature infants who need to be transferred to a higher-level unit.
What technologies are used to help treat patients?
Our robotic surgery system helps our gynecology surgeons perform minimally invasive procedures such as hysterectomies, endometrial surgeries, ovarian cyst removal, pelvic pain procedures, and more. This type of surgery allows for a much shorter hospital stay, less pain, and less scarring. Plus, recovery is generally much quicker.
