Adena Orthopedic and Spine Institute offers the very best in spine and back care for injury or pain. Our team’s approach is comprehensive and available in one all-inclusive, convenient location as well as several regional locations.
At Adena Orthopedic and Spine Institute, we use the latest technology and a coordinated care approach to provide personalized, conservative treatments for your spine, neck, or back pain. Our goal is to address only what is necessary, avoiding unnecessary interventions, and ultimately getting you back to a life without discomfort.
With all services conveniently located under one roof, you can schedule multiple appointments in a single day. This allows you to consult with multiple specialists, potentially complete all tests (subject to insurance coverage) and leave with a diagnosis and a tailored treatment plan to help restore comfort and function. While services may vary by location, our providers collaborate closely with you to identify the best approach for your needs.
For patients facing more complex issues, our board-certified team of experts collaborates to create a personalized treatment plan with the best outcomes. This may involve multiple days of testing and consultations to effectively manage your condition. If surgery becomes necessary, we provide a comprehensive plan that includes both pre- and post-operative care to support your recovery.
Our orthopedic center is meticulously designed with your care and convenience at the forefront. Offering the latest technology and a coordinated care approach, we are dedicated to effectively addressing your pain. This means that your appointment day can be maximally efficient: you may have the opportunity to consult with multiple doctors and potentially complete all necessary tests (subject to your insurance coverage). Upon departure, you will be equipped with a diagnosis and a tailored treatment plan aimed at restoring function and comfort.
For those facing more complex issues, our entire team collaborates to formulate a treatment plan that promises the most favorable outcomes. This might necessitate more than one day for thorough testing, consultation, and careful deliberation of the optimal strategies to successfully manage your condition, which may involve consulting with a surgeon.

Adena is the only health system in central Ohio to receive an advanced certification from The Joint Commission, which allows us to provide Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacements. Additionally, we are one of only five facilities in Ohio providing shoulder replacements, and we also offer expertise in spinal fusion procedures.
Our spine experts are experienced providers of spinal fusion, and use image guidance with computers in a state of the art operating room. A spinal fusion is a technique that joins two vertebrae using a bone graft that is then stabilized with plates, rods, or screws.
These two procedures involve manipulating the vertebrae and using bone cement to provide stability that aids recovery.
