Making the transition from nursing student to full-time nurse can be overwhelming. Adena Health System’s Nursing Internship Program is available to help new nurses make this important career transition.
Adena’s Nursing Internship Program offers new nurses full-time pay as they participate in the 18-week program. The internship program helps newly-graduated nurses make a smooth and confident transition from the world of academia to nursing practice. This mentored work experience, with an educational focus related to the role of a staff nurse, gives the individual additional hands-on experience with patient care, alongside seasoned nurses. It also helps a new nurse decide on his or her specific area of interest in the field of Nursing.
The next session begins March 13. Those who are interested are encouraged to apply before February 3 for early consideration.
Applicants should note the program includes day and night rotations within five nursing units, with each unit rotation lasting three weeks. Nursing interns also take part in some classroom courses, independent study modules, and experiences are also included at Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, and Adena Greenfield Medical Center.
To apply for Adena’s Nursing Internship Program you will need the following:
