Frequently asked questions
Why does the new hospital need community support?
Building a modern hospital is a major investment, and while Adena Health is committing significant funding, we also rely on the generosity of donors to make this vision a reality. Your support helps us go further in creating a space designed for compassionate, high-quality care with better technology and more privacy.
How will my gift be used?
Every dollar supports construction and equipment. That includes private patient rooms, surgical and emergency care areas, and modern tools that support excellent care. Your gift directly improves the experience for patients, families, and caregivers.
Are gifts tax-deductible?
Yes. The Adena Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law. After you give, we’ll send you a receipt for your records. If you have questions about how a gift may impact your taxes, we recommend consulting a financial advisor.
Does my gift really matter, even if it’s small?
Yes. Every gift matters. Whether you give $25 or $25,000, your support helps move the project forward. This is a community effort, and every contribution helps build a hospital that serves all of us.
What are naming opportunities, and who qualifies?
Naming opportunities allow donors to make a lasting impact by naming physical spaces, such as patient rooms, waiting areas, specialty suites, or gardens, in honor of an individual, family, or organization. These opportunities are typically available at specific giving levels. Our Foundation team will work with you to find a space that aligns with your philanthropic vision.
How does Adena recognize donors?
Every gift represents a commitment to the health of our community, and we recognize that deeply. Donor recognition may include:
- Personalized thank-you letters and updates about the impact of your gift
- A donor recognition wall in the new facility
- Invitations to milestone events
- Public or private acknowledgment, based on your preference
I prefer to give quietly. Can I remain anonymous?
Yes. We respect and honor your preferences. You may choose to remain anonymous, and we will ensure your wishes are upheld in all public and private recognition efforts.
Will I receive updates on the project?
Yes. Communication is an essential part of our stewardship. Donors will receive regular updates on construction progress, key milestones, and stories that show how your support is making a difference for patients and caregivers.
Can I give in honor or memory of someone?
Absolutely. Tribute gifts are a powerful way to celebrate someone special or recognize a caregiver. Naming opportunities are also available for rooms and spaces throughout the new hospital.
How else can I get involved?
In addition to giving, you can:
- Talk with our Foundation team about ways to support.
- Attend an event or tour.
- Share the project with friends, family, or coworkers.
Every action helps bring the new hospital closer to reality.
What else should I know before making a gift?
You’re doing more than helping build a hospital. You’re making care better for your neighbors, your loved ones, and yourself. This is our community. And thanks to you, its future looks brighter.
