2013 Scioto Valley Golf Classic

The Adena Health Foundation will once again be hosting the annual Scioto Valley Golf Classic. This year's event will be held at Big Beaver Creek Golf Club in Piketon on Friday, August 23. Funds raised will support the Foundation’s 21st Century Campaign, which helped make the da Vinci Robot a reality at Adena last year.

Adena physicians collaborate with the Graduate Medical Education interns to cover topics in hospital care situations utilizing an evidence-based teamwork approach to provide new information and latest technologies in current medicine. David W. Towle, DO, will help to explain this novel viral outbreak, inform the medical staff on how the threat evolves, and to optimize public health awareness.

Maternal Fetal Monitoring Certification Prep Course and Exam

Maternal Fetal Monitoring Certification Prep Course and Exam Followed by an offering of the NCC Fetal Monitoring Certification Exam. Speaker: Nancy O-Brien-Abel, MN, RNC_OB Nancy is a Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist at Swedish Medical Center, Seattle, where over 7000 babies are born each year. She is a Teaching Associate in the Dept. OB/GYN. University of Washington School of Medicine, and Clinical Instructor, University of Washington School of Nursing. Nancy is a nationally recognized speaker and author on fetal monitoring and high-risk pregnancies. She is certified through the National Certification Corporation (NCC) and is approved as an EFM Instructor for AWHONN’S Fetal Monitoring Program. Nancy received both her Bachelor and Master of Nursing from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
