Infectious diseases are disorders caused by organisms — such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. They can be as common as a cold or as unique as Meningitis or Coronavirus. At Adena, our experienced Infectious Disease providers, have diagnosed and treated an endless range of cases and are here to help you navigate the best care pathway back to good health. Although infectious diseases can most often be treated with antibiotics or other medication, left untreated they can become more serious. Seeing one of our Infectious Disease team members will help get you back on the path to good health as quickly as possible.

At Adena, we’re taking extra precautions to ensure a safe environment for all patients, visitors and staff. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, including fever or cough, please call our COVID-19 Hotline at 740-542-SAFE (7233) and refrain from any in-office visits.

Another way we work to keep patients safe is by offering Virtual Visits, using phone and/or video, to allow patients the option of consultation from their homes. While virtual visits are safe and convenient, they don’t always serve as a complete replacement for an in-office visit.
