Chillicothe Transit System offers transportation in and around Chillicothe. Please visit their website for more information and to obtain the current schedule. In 2024, the bus fares are waived in the city limits. Chillicothe also offers a trolley service. On demand transportation can also be set up by calling by calling 740-773-1569 or book online at rider.chillicotheoh.gov. Rides can be scheduled in advance or the same day. Chillicothe Transit also has an app.
Ross County Mobility Management Program
Assists callers in finding transportation options in Ross County. The Ross County Mobility Management Program is the go-to contact for all transportation related questions and needs. A few of the ways the Mobility Manager can assist you includes: finding transportation options to work, doctor’s appointments, or social service agencies; provide travel training to help you get comfortable scheduling, booking, and riding transit; and explore alternative transportation methods such as biking or walking. Ross Transportation LLC
This is a private company who typically provides Medicaid transports, but will assist on the Medicare transports in some cases. The Medicare transports are through a contract with Adena's Community Health Department. The phone number for this resource is: 740-775-1228. Medicare transports must be approved through Adena Community Health.
South Central Ohio Job and Family Services
Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) is a statewide program administered by the County Department of Job & Family Services for Medicaid eligible customers. NET provides transportation to and from Medicaid providers. Transportation authorization is in the form of gas vouchers or through a contracted transportation provider. You must give 5 working days’ notice in order to receive assistance for eligible appointments.
Who is eligible?
- You have a current Medicaid card for the same month as your appointment.
- Your appointment is for a service paid by Medicaid

∙- You have given a minimum of 5 working days’ notice of your appointment
