Diabetes resources

Adena Health recognizes the prevalence of diabetes in our communities. To address this condition, Adena has a two-prong approach by offering classes/resources to manage one's diabetes and a focus on prevention programs. In addition, Adena has partnered with local organizations such as the YMCA and OSU Extension to provide programming to patients in our area about diabetes prevention and management. Patients do not need to reside in the county of the program.

If physician referral is required, a link to MyChart will be provided.

  • Adena Health Diabetic Education Program - Program for patients with an A1C over 6.5 (anything under that would get a nutrition referral) Each patient will have a face to face visit with the educator. If Medicare is the payer source, the patient will be scheduled for diabetes self-management classes on Wednesdays at 3:30. Questions can call (740) 542-3663.
