Our orthopedic center is meticulously designed with your care and convenience at the forefront. Offering the latest technology and a coordinated care approach, we are dedicated to effectively addressing your pain. This means that your appointment day can be maximally efficient: you may have the opportunity to consult with multiple doctors and potentially complete all necessary tests (subject to your insurance coverage). Upon departure, you will be equipped with a diagnosis and a tailored treatment plan aimed at restoring function and comfort.
For those facing more complex issues, our entire team collaborates to formulate a treatment plan that promises the most favorable outcomes. This might necessitate more than one day for thorough testing, consultation, and careful deliberation of the optimal strategies to successfully manage your condition, which may involve consulting with a surgeon.
Our skilled sports medicine teams treat a variety of pain-related conditions, including:
For athletes, a baseline test is valuable information that can be used in the event of a concussion. Baseline testing measures your brain in a healthy state, so doctors know the normal functions of your brain to help you recover from a concussion.
Adena uses a series of tests called Sway to baseline test our athletes. To learn more call 740-779-8943.
If you or your student-athlete receive a concussion, immediate testing and treatment are important. Most concussion issues last around 7-10 days, and treatment includes mental and physical rest. That includes no running, jumping, weight lifting, drills, gym class, video games, television, texting, or other tasks that require a lot of focus and concentration. In some cases, athletes are even held from school to allow the brain to rest.
