Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate Program
About the Program
The Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate Program of Adena Health System is dedicated to serve the needs of women, children and men who have experienced Interpersonal Violence such as Sexual and/or Domestic Violence, Child and/or Elder Abuse or those who may have been victims of Hate Crimes. We offer survivors comprehensive advocacy starting in the Emergency Room. Trauma informed services are hospital and medical advocacy, resource linkage and referral and safety services including safety planning and shelter placement. In addition the program offers free peer to peer support groups, community education and an aftercare advocate to help individuals at any point in their healing process.
Adena’s Sexual Assault Survivor Program is a network of volunteers who are working together to ensure that all survivors of sexual assault who report to Adena Regional Medical Centerwill benefit from the support of a hospital advocate. People who have been trained to work with survivors of rape are available to talk with you about your feelings. They can also help you with legal and medical questions. You don’t have to go through this alone.
