From free screenings to better awareness, Adena is helping patients find cancer earlier
Cancer hits home with almost all of us in some way. According to a 2016 Community Health Survey, more than half of Ross County respondents had an immediate family member who has had cancer.
The best way to detect cancer early is through screenings, such as mammograms and colonoscopies. Yet, according to that same community survey, the Number one factor local respondents cite for not getting the necessary health care is expense.
Adena Cancer Center is helping remove that barrier.
Early detection is one of the single most important factors in how likely a patient is to survive cancer. We want to make screenings easy and affordable so that we can find cancers in their earliest, most treatable stages.
