Laura Wills, MD with Adena Pediatrics in Chillicothe, Ohio, chose to specialize in pediatric medicine because pediatricians get to “do it all”—from giving newborns their first check-up to seeing them grow throughout well-child visits and treating their fevers, broken bones and everything else in between.   

As a family doctor, Dr. Wills provides well-child checkups, immunizations and sports or school physicals.  Dr. Wills especially likes tending to the physical, mental and emotional health of patients as babies, children, adolescents and young adults to age 21 – in good health or in illness.

Dr. Wills comes to Adena Pediatrics with a hospice background and one day hopes to work in pediatric hospice and palliative care.  Dr. Wills has a special interest in chronic care patients.  She enjoys working with patients who have more complex needs by establishing a “medical home” for the patients and their families and coordinating the complexity of specialty care.  Currently, Dr. Wills works both at Adena Pediatrics and at the Adena Medical Center inpatient hospital.  She also works a couple of shifts monthly in urgent care.

When not on call or working, Dr. Wills spends time with her family.  She also enjoys reading books by young adult authors, shopping, and theater-going.
