Dr. Shen joins Adena Cardiology with ten years of clinical years of experience. After earning his medical degree in China, he came to the United States and received is PhD in training in Biomedical Research at Wayne State University, Michigan. He then completed his residency at Bridgeport Hospital of Yale University in Connecticut, followed by a Clinical Cardiology fellowship at Case Western Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland. 

As a clinical Cardiologist,  Dr. Shen evaluate patients as a whole, while focusing on the heart. “I care for patients in various settings including outpatient clinic, emergency department, inpatient and critical care unit,” said Dr. Shen. “I believe that mutual trust, patient and family education and efficient communication are as important as pills and procedures.” 

Dr. Shen enjoys hiking with family, working in the yard, traveling, and learning about space technology.
