Hospice Volunteers are needed throughout Adena’s service region. A 30-minute hospice volunteer program overview will be presented on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 12:15 p.m., followed by Volunteer orientation from 1 – 4 p.m. at Adena Home Care Offices, located at 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, Ohio.
Adena Hospice volunteers provide services ranging from helping in the office, providing information at health fairs, delivering dinners to families, running errands, calling patients about upcoming events, and sitting with patients to relieve caregivers. Adena Hospice offers service for people with life-limiting illnesses in Ross, Pickaway, Hocking, Vinton, Jackson, Pike, Highland and Fayette Counties.
If you are interested in becoming a hospice volunteer, you must be at least 14 years of age, and commit to four hours of service each month. If you would like more information about becoming a Hospice Volunteer, or to register for the presentation call (740) 779-4663. Walk-ins are also welcome.
