Program Intended to Help Families Adopt a Healthier Lifestyle
Families resolving to be healthier in 2014, are encouraged to register for the next six-week session of the Family Fit Program, sponsored by Adena Health System and the YMCA of Ross County.
Family Fit is a fun-filled, family oriented program that will start children and their families on a lifetime journey of health and confidence. Each class brings together families with children between the ages of 6 and 14 for two hours, one day a week, for six weeks. Classes include: cooking demonstrations, meal planning, exercise, and behavior counseling taught by Adena dietitians.
The next Family Fit Program will begin on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, with classes held from 6 to 8:00 p.m. The program consists of six consecutive sessions, held each Wednesday at the YMCA of Ross County, located at 100 Mill Street, Chillicothe. Later sessions for 2014 are set to begin on March 12 and September 17.
Adena Health System is focused on the health and future of our region’s children and families. Our team of physicians and dieticians are available to help members of our community adopt healthy habits that are intended to make a positive, lifelong impact on the wellbeing of our children and families.
The six-week, Family Fit Program costs $50 per family, which includes all materials and a three-month family membership to the YMCA of Ross County - at no additional cost. For more information about the Family Fit Program or to register call (740) 779-7520.
