Foundation Events Raise Close to $50,000 for Critical Access Hospitals

A pair of recent Adena Health Foundation events supporting the Health System’s critical access hospitals in Greenfield and Waverly proved to be undeniable successes. Annual events for Adena Greenfield and Pike Medical Centers raised funds that will support the financial needs for continued growth of hospital services at both facilities.

The first annual Adena Greenfield Medical Center Autumn Gala, held in October, saw a near sellout attendance just shy of 200 people pack the Orpheum Theater in Hillsboro. Over $29,000 was generated during this signature event will be allocated toward clinical equipment to support new specialty services at AGMC. Specifically, surgical equipment for expansion of General Surgery, Urology and the addition of Podiatry and OB/GYN services.

The 36th Annual Adena Pike Medical Center Festival of Trees, held at the Twin Lakes Resort in Piketon in November, saw similar milestones reached as a crowd of over 200 attendees raised over $19,000 during the event’s grand auction of fully decorated Christmas trees and other handcrafted items.

“Each year these events continue to grow and showcase just how special and generous our donors and supporters of the communities in Greenfield and Waverly truly are,” said Rebekah Clevenger, Foundation Development Director, Community. “With both events reaching record attendance numbers, we are able to make significant impacts towards the care we deliver for these communities we serve.”

The Adena Health Foundation thanks all its donors, volunteers and sponsors who helped make these events so memorable and successful.
