Visitor Access

Additional safety measures taken at Adena Regional Medical Center

In an effort to keep you and your loved ones safer, a number of security measures have been introduced at the Adena Regional Medical Center to improve patient and visitor safety, as well as employee safety. These actions are similar to measures taken by other hospitals and health systems.

Patients and visitors are now met by greeters when they arrive in any of the medical center’s entrances. The greeters sign-in patients and visitors, and issue guest badges. The badges are color-coded depending on the person’s destination. A new pass will be provided each time a visitor enters the medical center.

Additionally, certain entrances will have limited access during weekends to further security and safety.

  • The East Entrance will be locked from 9 p.m. Fridays until 6 a.m. Mondays.
  • The Medical Office Building entrance will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, but will be closed on Sundays.

All main hospital entrances and doors are open from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. daily. If you exit outside of these times you will have to re-enter through the Emergency Department, the only entrance to the hospital open 24 hours a day. If you have questions regarding these measures, please contact Security at 740-779-7505.
