Our rehabilitation team is focused on offering you the best care available and returning you to your normal routine as soon as possible.
Sometimes an illness or injury can rob you of the ability to perform daily tasks or to participate in physical activities. The goal of rehabilitation is to help restore your capabilities to an optimal level after such a loss has been experienced, and in some cases, adapt to a permanent change. This is generally achieved through education and various types of therapy, appropriate to your needs.
Our rehabilitation team is focused on offering you the best care available and returning you to your normal routine as soon as possible. Each member has advanced training specific to the type of treatment they are providing. They work closely together, using the latest techniques and equipment to help you reach your goal, while treating you with dignity and respect.

Our inpatient rehabilitation unit is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

A minimum of three hours of therapy a day is provided to patients during their stay. Therapy is provided Monday through Saturday, with the exception of holidays.
Rehabilitative nursing is provided 24 hours a day.
Another factor that sets us apart from other rehabilitation facilities is the comfort in knowing that a physician is in-house at all times.
Our FIM (Functional Independence Measure) scores have exceeded national scores in functional improvement and discharge into a home/community setting for the past eight years. Nearly 87 percent of our patients are discharged to home.
Treatment at Adena Greenfield Medical Center is not limited to four walls. The rehab unit offers two unique programs for our patients.
Our enabling garden was established in 1997. This innovative way of combining treatment with nature has been very rewarding for our patients and therapists. Patients enjoy working in the garden and many times are not aware of the great benefits that they are receiving. A variety of stimulating activities is centered on the beauty of nature in our tranquil garden. As the seasons change, anticipation accompanies each new discovery.
Our community re-entry program is a combined effort of therapists and local business owners. The structure of the program is so that the patient is able to venture outside of the hospital setting. This outing allows the patient to address any fears that they may have in returning to the community setting. The outing provides opportunity for the patient to use what they have learned during their rehab stay. Two staff members, for support, accompany the patient. This helps to aid them in determining the patient’s readiness for discharge.
Our outpatient rehabilitation services provide high-quality care designed to get you back to your highest level of functioning. We care for patients from follow-ups to inpatient rehabilitation services and short-term rehabilitation needs related to injury or illness.
