In 1895, the Women’s Board, then known as the Board of Lady Managers, along with a dozen local churches, founded the Chillicothe Hospital. The original board was responsible for management of the early hospital, as well as fund raising. Today, the Women’s Board devotes its efforts to two annual fundraising events – the February Giving Hearts Dance and Spring Plant sale.
Today, the Women's Board consists of women who volunteer their time to raise money for the benefit of the hospital. Meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month at 10:30am in the PACCAR Medical Education Center.
