Certified Athletic Trainers
Connecting You to Care: Certified Athletic Trainers in Schools
- Department of:
- Adena Regional Medical Center
Unlike other programs that have athletic trainers split among multiple schools, Adena Sports Medicine provides a full-time certified athletic trainer in each of the eight schools we serve every day, including:
- Adena High School
- Chillicothe High School
- Oak Hill High School
- Piketon High School
- Southeastern High School
- Unioto High School
- Waverly High School
- Zane Trace High School
Being on campus every day means we truly get to know the student athletes we serve. It means we’re there to help prevent injuries and to provide immediate care and support if an injury does occur. It also means we can help:
- Make care more accessible. By acting as a liaison between the student and Adena Health System, we can help schedule appointments with Adena sports medicine specialists if desired by the parents. If a student athlete wants to see an Adena sports medicine physician, we can ensure they are seen within 24 hours.
- Providing services to our local athletes. Adena certified athletic trainers provide concussion management, injury prevention and assistance in the care of injured athletes.
Beyond providing certified athletic trainers for area schools, Adena Sports Medicine also provides coverage for a host of community events like the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament and Hartsock football camps.
