One out of every six Americans has some degree of hearing impairment, and as you get older, your chances of losing your hearing increase dramatically. By age 65, you have a 30 percent chance at having hearing loss and that risk increases to 50 percent by the age of 75, according to the National Institute on Deafness.
Adena audiologists are experts in assessing, diagnosing and treating hearing problems. We work with patients who are having difficulty with hearing and balance, as well as with patients who have lost their hearing.
At Adena, our experienced audiologists are trained to work with adults and children alike. In addition to focusing on the loss of hearing, we offer services for auditory processing disorders, vestibular function, tinnitus, as well as assisting patients with selecting and getting fitted for hearing aids or assistive listening devices and/or hearing protective devices, such as swim plugs.
