Working in the community as a nurse practitioner for Adena Chillicothe Family Physicians, A Department of Adena Regional Medical Center, has given Marsha Ward, CNP the privilege of connecting one on one in a personal relationship with her patients and their family. Family medicine allows Ms. Ward to meet patients wherever they are in their lives. Adena Chillicothe Family Physicians provides comprehensive care for families from babies to adults, offering wellness and follow up for all types of chronic conditions including diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Ms. Ward specializes in caring for patients with diabetes and is certified as a diabetes educator. By caring for patients throughout their lives, Ms. Ward is able to help detect the early signs of diabetes and provide education and treatment earlier to ward off the onset of diabetes or lessen its devastating effects.
As a mother with three teenagers, Marsha Ward seeks to help patients through education and understanding of their unique health circumstances. Her philosophy of care is based on caring for patients as they adapt to the changes life brings across their lifespan.
“Across the lifespan, we go through different life changes – illness, wellness, and family dynamics,” Ms. Ward says. “Being able to adapt to these changes is important.”
Adena Chillicothe Family Physicians offers extended hours, including after hours and weekend appointments.
