About Thomas Lewis
Dr. Tom Lewis, a dermatologist at Adena Regional Medical Center, enjoys the hands-on experience that comes with working in dermatologic surgery. Specializing in skin cancer removal, Dr. Lewis performs in-clinic procedures that remove common types of skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. He uses a method of removing the tissue layer by layer, removing all the cancer while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible.
While studying at The Ohio State University, Dr. Lewis volunteered as a patient transporter at OSU Hospital and later worked as an orderly. Both of these jobs helped lead him to a path in the medical field. Since pursuing his career as a dermatologic surgeon, Dr. Lewis has always enjoyed that his patients can come into the clinic and have their issues resolved in a short period of time.
He grew up in Waverly, OH, and in high school he enjoyed basketball, baseball, golf, and spending time with his friends.
“I like living in this community because it allows my three children to grow up near their grandparents. I love the small town feel and community pride that doesn’t always occur in more metropolitan areas, and it gives me a more personal connection with my patients.”
