Physicians and staff at Adena Regional Medical Center participated in a Pink Out! on Friday, commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
According to the American Cancer Society, more than a quarter-million new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed among U.S. women this year; with nearly 40,000 U.S. women dying from the disease. Only lung cancer accounts for more cancer deaths in women. Early detection is key in finding breast cancer early and starting life-saving treatment.
