New Adena Occupational Health Facility Officially Opens
Community and business leaders came out today to get a first-hand look at Adena Regional Medical Center’s new Occupational Health facility. Chillicothe Mayor Jack Everson participated in the ribbon-cutting to officially open the new clinic, now located in the Adena Health and Wellness Center at the northeast corner of Adena’s Chillicothe campus.
Business leaders are excited about the convenience of the new location, which offers better access for injured workers, and employees in need of testing or other treatment and rehabilitation. “Workers in our community can better utilize Adena’s Occupational Health Services with this relocation,” said Randy Davies, president and CEO of the Chillicothe-Ross Chamber of Commerce. “The new facility, with its convenient parking will accommodate busy schedules and help people get back to work more quickly.”
Jessica Cage handles workers’ compensation claims through the Chillicothe Veteran’s Administration (VA), and can see how the new location will offer VA employees and patients better access to Occupational Health services. “This location will enhance VA employee and doctor communication, and will give VA patients more one-on-one contact with their physician,” said Cage. “The fact that the all-inclusive site is equipped with x-ray technology is another convenience we are looking forward to having for our employees.”
The new facility offers more than 5,000 square feet of clinical space, which includes: fives exam rooms, a procedure room, x-ray, audiology and vision testing, and a dedicated drug screening area. Adena’s Occupational Health Department provides services to workers throughout the region who have been injured on the job; are in need of occupational rehabilitation; are required to have pre-employment health physicals; or random drug screening. The clinic was previously located in Adena Regional Medical Center near the hospital’s busy West entrance.
Visitors to Adena Occupational Health will find the easiest access by entering the Adena campus at the traffic light off of Rt. 159 (across from the Kenworth plant entrance). Once on the Adena campus, the Health and Wellness Center is immediately on the right at 4457 Rt. 159.
