Adena Pediatrics, Family and Internal Medicine - Jackson welcomes Certified Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Duncan. As a certified nurse practitioner, Duncan has completed a high level of medical education that enables her to treat patients, refer for specialty testing and prescribe medication. She works closely with the clinic’s physicians in meeting the needs of patients served by the Jackson facility.
Jennifer Duncan, CNP was born and raised in Jackson, and takes great pride in serving her community. She first joined Adena in 2002 as a nurse on Unit 2A at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. In 2010, Duncan completed her Master’s degree in Nursing, then went on to earn certification as a nurse practitioner.
“The thing I like the most about being a certified nurse practitioner is being able to have a positive impact, and make a difference in people’s lives,” said Duncan. “It’s very rewarding to take care of people I know, and to help improve the health of my community.”
In addition to caring for patients with various chronic disease and illness, Duncan works to help her patients live healthier lifestyles. She is a strong supporter of the Adena/YMCA Family Fit program, which is aimed at helping children and their families work together to improve their health. The program was launched for the first time this month in Jackson.
Duncan is a graduate of the University of Rio Grande and Otterbein University.
