It is estimated that 10-percent of Ohio adults have been diagnosed with diabetes. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with diabetes, you are invited to attend Adena’s upcoming Chronic Disease Support Group for people with diabetes.
The group will meet on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the Adena PACCAR Medical Education Center, located at 446 Hospital Road, near the west entrance of Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Adena’s Certified Diabetes Educators will share important information about managing diabetes; and participants can share experiences with others who are living with this chronic disease. Diabetes educators will also be available for on-site, one-on-one consultations with patients and family members.
Diabetes can lead to serious health-related complications if not managed properly. It is the leading cause of cardiovascular disease, blindness, kidney failure and non-traumatic foot and leg amputations among adults.
