Adena and YMCA Preparing for Next Round of Family Fit

Families wanting to become healthier in 2017 are encouraged to register for the next eight-week session of the Family Fit Program. Family Fit can help you and your children begin a journey toward better health.

Family Fit is sponsored by Adena Health System and the YMCA of Ross County. It is a fun-filled, family-oriented program that will start children and their families on a lifetime journey of health and confidence. For eight weeks, each 1.5 hour class brings together families with children, between the ages of six and 14. Classes include: cooking demonstrations, meal planning, exercise, and behavior counseling and is taught by Adena dietitians.

Once completing the entire program, and attending all eight sessions, families will receive a three-month membership to the YMCA of Ross County. There, they can continue using the activity skills they’ve learned in Family Fit.

The next Family Fit session will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sessions are held each Tuesday at the YMCA of Ross County, located at 100 Mill Street, Chillicothe, and will run through Tuesday, Mar. 28, 2017.

Adena Health System is focused on the health and future of our region’s children and families. Adena’s team of physicians and dieticians are available to help members of our community adopt healthy habits that are intended to make a positive, lifelong impact on the health of our children and families.
