The results of Adena Health System’s 2013 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) are now available for viewing at www.adena.org/chna. The CHNA must be conducted by all 501(c)(3) hospitals as required by the Affordable Care Act of 2010.
“The Community Health Needs Assessment is providing us with valuable information about the predominant health needs of those in our communities,” said Denise Scharfetter, Adena’s director of Community Health. “We are analyzing the results and strategizing how Adena can best meet the principle health needs of the children and adults we serve.”
The CHNA survey was available earlier this year for residents of communities served by Adena Regional Medical Center, Adena Pike Medical Center and Adena Greenfield Medical Center. The survey focused on the respondent’s perception of the health issues facing our communities, as well as their own overall health and conditions. The survey is to be conducted every three years.
