A car show, vendor fair and fish fry is planned for Saturday, May 11, 2013, with proceeds benefiting the Adena Health Foundation’s Cancer Fund, a source of assistance for patients of the Adena Cancer Center. The free event is open to the public and will be held “rain or shine” from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the PACCAR Medical Education Center, located on the campus of the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. This year, collectors of vintage motorcycles are also invited to participate.
There is a $15 entry fee for those displaying cars, trucks or motorcycles. Registration will take place from 8:30 a.m. until noon; with judging from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Trophies and dash plaques will be presented. In addition, there will be drawings for raffle and door prizes throughout the day.
In addition to the car/motorcycle show, vendors will have items for sale inside the Education Center. They include: Longaberger; Mary Kay; Miche Bags; Pampered Chef; Park Lane; Origami Owl; Scentsy; Silpada; Tastefully Simple; Thirty-One; and Tupperware.
“Building on the success of last year’s event, we are expanding the show to include more vehicles, and adding vendors who are donating all of their profits to the Adena Cancer Fund,” said Ralph Metzger, Executive Director of the Adena Health Foundation. “Just about everyone has had their lives touched by cancer in some way, and our community has always been very supportive of helping Adena provide outstanding care for our patients who are battling cancer.”
The Adena Cancer Center opened in January 2012 on the campus of Adena Regional Medical Center. It offers patients the latest treatments and clinical trials available in a tranquil, state-of-the-art setting that is close to home.
