Adena’s Emergency Department (ED) Steering Committee has approved the concept and design for the exterior look of Adena Regional Medical Center’s (ARMC) new Emergency Department.
“This was the next step in the process, as we finalized the concept and designs for what will provide the look and feel of our new Emergency Department,” explained ARMC Vice President Nick Alexander. “These latest renderings more accurately depict what caregivers and visitors to our new ED and West Lobby will experience when they come to our campus.”
He added, “Having a ‘signature look’ to our new Emergency Department was important, and the Steering Committee felt this concept best captured that. Not only does this design enhance our ED, making it the face of Adena Regional Medical Center, but it also showcases our Emergency Department, making it more visible to those traveling along U.S. Route 23.”
Included in the approved concept was a design style for the ED clinical areas, which will feature an accordion style model. This will enable the use of clinical rooms and space to be expanded or contracted during times of heavy or low patient volumes.
