Medical-Surgical Unit (Med-Surg)
The Medical-Surgical floor is comprised of both private and semi-private rooms equipped with modern electronic beds, which include patient weighing and fall risk alert systems. Each room has private toilet facilities and large storage space for the patient's personal belongings. A central nurse station is staffed 24-hours a day by qualified Registered Nurses and Nurse Assistants.
Regular visiting hours begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. Please ask the nursing supervisor in charge about any visitor limitations. We request that visiting by children be limited to ages 16 and older. In special circumstances, younger children may be permitted to visit.
APMC food services are provided by the Adena Pike Dietary Department. The Dietary staff takes time to interview each patient upon arrival to determine food preferences and provide a wide variety of selections to meet each individual dietary needs and restrictions. For visitors, the APMC cafeteria is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily for lunch time hours, and again from 5:00 p.m. to 6:10 p.m. Monday through Friday for dinner time hours.
