We have recently made some changes to improve our care to your children. See below:
- Same-day access for sick children
- Electronic medical record to keep health records easily accessible to healthcare providers
- Choose your own physician to provide well-child care
- Ability to go directly to Emergency Department or Urgent Care for medical emergencies
- Call our answering service to page an Adena Pediatrics provider to speak with after hours
- Prescription refills will be taken during normal business hours
Adena Health System has a Pediatrics Unit staffed with dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate pediatric nurses and pediatricians.
Our Pediatrics Unit is prepared to care children and families with a wide range of medical conditions, including those undergoing same-day procedures.
We strive to ease each child’s anxieties. That’s why each room is equipped with a telephone, cable television and a special sleep chair just for mom or dad. A video game system and DVD are also available.
Our pediatric nurses are knowledgeable regarding acute pediatric care and recognize the central role of the family. We support, respect and encourage the participation of the entire family in the child's healthcare.
