Capitalizing on an already specialized cancer program, the new Adena Cancer Center opened in January of 2012. The state-of-the-art center houses the latest in cancer care advances and hosts a group of talented cancer physician specialists and supporting clinical staff.

Certified by the American College of Surgeons every three years, the Adena Cancer Center provides the most advanced care and treatment options for individuals facing a cancer diagnosis. Adena Cancer Center provides cancer care for almost all cancers and has specialty programs or Tumor Boards for cancers of the breast, lung, colon and rectal, and head and neck. We also provide expert care for hematologic cancer (cancers of the blood or liquid cancers) such as leukemia and lymphoma. Cancer care centers around the patient, with a team approach to care, multidisciplinary clinics, patient navigators, risk reduction and survivorship programs.

The Adena Cancer Center provides prompt access to the treatment team with consolidated appointments. This process facilitates rapid decision-making and care coordination to provide patients with a treatment plan more efficiently by reducing multiple appointments spread out over several weeks. Our medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, oncology-certified nurses, internists, radiologists, dieticians, social workers and therapists have the expertise needed in the fight against cancer.

The Adena Cancer Center also has specialists in Hematology who diagnose and treat benign blood conditions such as anemia, low or high blood counts, bleeding disorders and clotting disorders.
